every word of this. I’ve been working on climate justice for years; you’re right, we’re all burnt out, though nothing compared to communities living the reality of climate collapse with no resources to respond. but you’re also right that change is unfolding - wellbeing economies are no longer a fringe idea. more people are being called to be in community etc; we are building the new system from within the existing, collapsing one
ah! balm to the soul. so glad someone else believes this. something IS growing underneath, and those tiny tendrils have me gasping like a new mother painfully waiting for her child's next breath in the night.... to more breaths!!!!!
This is beautiful. I just wrote a meditation on unedited collapse as safe space for friends. This planet doesn't want to shake us off and I believe deep down we want to be in sync with it. It's easy to feel too overwhelmed right now to really search for information, so I am especially grateful for your thoughtful posts.
Wonderful. Simply wonderful. Thank you. It shall be so though many of us will pass along the way this is the vision, this is the work, this is the path. As it has always been.

But it is insulation. It is business-as-usual for as long as possible, for as few as possible." <--- True that, my first post here is about it. I think you can click my name to read it. I'm not sure. Your paragraph matches what I wrote. The destruction of the Medicaid social safety net is a first step to a new serfdom.
It was only when I started planting a FoodForest, that I learned about very similar projects even very close to my area. Positive change is abound. We are just hidden in the shadows of the horror news people keep hammering their heads in with. There are plenty of people who have started to rebuild, as we watch the old structures of society collapse. 🍀
